and Raunaudo

For
Hamels Rollins

1.) 03 Nov 2014
What would the Red Sox do with rollins

2.) 03 Nov 2014
He can mentor bogarts cause he was shaky this year and he's always had a good bat

3.) 04 Nov 2014
* Much of Boston's off-season moves will rely on Lester's state of mind. He'll listen to what B.C. has to offer in a sit-down but both sides most likely won't agree, but that has yet to be seen.

* Little confidence in Sox signing J.Shields.

*Trade for Hamels, I Agree!
No Betts in deal though. PHILS get:
-Swihart (C)
-Owens (SP/RP)
-Rivero (SS/2B)
-Bradley Jr. (OF)
-Webster (SP/RP)

SOX get:-Hamels*no Rollins/poor idea
-maybe $$ for Hamel's AAV.

*Sandoval, probably not. 5/100+yes,most likely with San.Fran.

*Victorino,Craig/will be hard to find takers/worthy return. so for now, probably a No.

*Yosmani Tomas- maybe/maybe not?
-Phils are front runners for him.
-Sox could outbid to replace Cespedes or as a 1B replacement.
-I think the Sox are just checking him out, nothing more or maybe to see what the Phillies will be getting with him/Signifying a Hamels trade?
-Most likely,$$$ will be spent elsewhere.

4.) 04 Nov 2014
Shields will get way more

5.) 04 Nov 2014
BosoxsBob I agree with most of what u said I feel that lester will return and if lester returns so does peavy I also feel that the soxs will cash out and bring in sandoval and tomas and trade high salary guys away that are older

At some points this past season,I was hoping the Sox would reach for the stars like you .
Recent developments such as the Joe Maddon signing,Yankees "allegedly" not pursing huge $$ in Max S.,Jon L.,Pablo S. contracts, and Giants winning the W.S. have changed my thought process with Boston's spending approach. I've begun to factor in those scenarios. I feel they are going heavily weigh on Boston' choices.
-Failed Negotiations:
*Lester 6/150M,Peavy 2/28M will be with the Cubs.
*Sandoval 5/105M with the Giants.
*Tomas 6/105M with the Phils/Padres.

*Shields on the Sox as a #2 was a lock for me at one point. I'm not confident in that now. The idea of 5/100M doesn't seem viable.
I give a 70% chance that Boston signs him. If Sox were smart offer no more than 4/85M.

*The only big move I firmly believe they make is for Hamels at #1. $$ and Sense. They are going to have to move some of the farm instead of waiting and hoping.
*Next pursuit is for C.Headley, but I think the Yanks will find a way to retain him. 3/40M.
*Search for a worthy 3B may be put on hold for awhile until a move worthwhile presents itself.

*I still like them dealing with the Mets/Reds for a #2 and maybe a 3B. Moving Cespedes is a factor for me.

*Push for McCarthy,Liriano,Masterson in FA may happen.

*Megadeal by mid-season with Heyward/Stanton 50/50 chance.

Its ridiculous that you think that Tomas will sign with the Red Sox just because Castillo signed there. They have enough outfielders to field 2-3 outfields. They are just doing their due dilagence.
