Cincinnati gets Dexter Fowler

Houston gets Mike Leake


There hasn't been anyone saying that the Astros are willing to trade Fowler but this trade would benefit both teams. Fowler got on base last year at a .370 clip and that's what the reds want. The Astros need pitching and mike Leake has been consistently good for a few years now.

I think there could be something here. Fowler is more than capable of playing LF and this would probably lop $4-5M off the Reds payroll (assuming the projected arb salaries are anywhere close)

Fowler and Hamilton at the top of the order would be great table setters for Votto, Phillips, and Bruce. And like TarheelRed said, Fowler is very capable of playing left field.
