It probably won't happen but here are my ideas on how the Yankees can rebuild because they have looked terrible lately:

Twins get: Mark Teixeira
Yankees get: Miguel Sano, Max Kepler, Casey Fien

Twins do it because they could use a full time DH (the Nunez/Escobar platoon won't cut it) and Tex would fit the bill.

Orioles get: Carlos Beltran
Yankees get: Tim Berry, Rey Navarro, Christian Walker

While trades within a division aren't common, both teams would benefit. O's would upgrade RF and Yankees get decent prospects in return.

Angels get: Brian McCann
Yankees get: Andrew Heaney, Grant Green, Chad Smith

Angels really haven't been getting much production from the Catcher position so far. McCann could give the Angels a spark.

Indians get: Jacoby Ellsbury
Yankees get: Tony Wolters, Kyle Crockett, Danny Salazar, Zach Walters, Tyler Holt

Bourn has not been hitting this season. Yes he steals a lot of bases, but Ellsbury (when he is healthy) could bring a positive influence to their clubhouse and upgrade CF. They could be a CF away from competing in the AL Central.


I know people won't like these trades but thoughts?

So are you on something? And again, why do you keep trying? Teixeira won't bring a top prospect like Sano in. Beltran won't bring much in. He certainly wouldn't be traded in the division. McCann won't bring in someone like Heaney. Ellsbury could bring in better.

Yankees27, if you think this group of aging, overpaid retreads such as Teixeira and Ellsbury will bring returns such as Danny Salazar, Miguel Sano and Andrew Heaney, then you need to wake up, because you're dreaming.

Angels trade is AWFUL. Carlos Perez is the catcher of the future, McCann is not good anymore. Heaney is a future #2, Green is a potential 280 hitter, and Smith, well I don't care about

Teixeira to the Twins for those guys is like trading a whole batch of fresh, soft and chewy cookies from Grandma for moldy cheese. We need a DH, yes, but we are NOT going to sell half the farm trying to get one.
