The Red Sox seem to be a very dominate team this year, the only upgrade I see is maybe the one at first, so I see this as the answer maybe.

BOS trades: Hanley, Heath Hembree

NYM trades: Duda, PTBNL

Now the Sox Lineup is

1. Betts RF
2. Bogarts SS
3. Ortiz DH
4. Duda 1st
5. Padroia 2nd
6. Panda 3rd
7. Castillo LF
8. Swihart C
9. JBJ CF

Bench:
1. Holt UTL
2. Vasquez C
3. Shaw 1st/3rd/LF
4. Young OF

This is a very dominate team. And Duda can move to DH next season and have Shaw take over at 1st or keep Duda at 1st and let Shaw handle DH, and then bring up someone like Bryce Brentz to take over the open bench slot, or go out and sign someone to take that spot.

What do you guys think?

Why the Mets would do that is beyond me.

I'm a Sox fan and I would do this in a heartbeat but there's no chance the Mets do this.

The sox have the ability to add more but it is a start.

The Mets could always just sign a guy like Steven Pearce or Austin Jackson.

I am saying this from the Sox perspective, the. Sox could add some lower level prospects to the deal it should be fine, the sox could also add someone like Neo Ramirez to the deal.

Dominant is a strong word, the Sox have a long ladder to climb up.

What are you talking about? They have a top 5 rotation, a top 8 bullpen. And youth as well.

Betts, Field A+ bat B
Bogarts field B+ bat A
Ortiz field N/A bat A+
Duda field B bat B+
Padroia field A+ bat B+
Panda field B bat B
Castillo field B- bat B
Swihart field B+ bat B
JBJ field A+ bat B-

Bench
Holt field A+ (due to versatility) bat B
Shaw field B bat B+
Vasquez field A bat C+
Young field B bat B

That is a pretty good team if I don't say so myself.

I find it hilarious that you rate Panda's defense as a B after sporting a -16.9 UZR last year.

Yes the Red Sox do have a top 5 rotation in the AL east that is, A+ are reserved for the best of the best like Pillar and Kiermair, Betts and PEdroia are not that good, Pablo is awful in all aspects of the game at this point, you're just seriously overrating the team.
