Red sox Offseason:

Sign:
Chris Carter

It makes sense since of his power in a hitter friendly park and to protect Ortiz a little more and the lack of defensive ability is made up by the extra power.

Trade Hanly to the Rockies for Brandon Barns and Cash,

This gives the sox outfield depth and some money to pay off hanlys salary.

This makes sense for the Rox since they need a hitter to platoon at 1st.

Lineup:
1. Betts RF
2. Bogarts SS
3. Ortiz DH
4. Carter 1st
5. Padroia 2nd
6. Panda 3rd
7. Castillo LF
8. Swihart C
9. JBJ CF

Bench:
1. Holt UTL
2. Shaw 1st/ 3rd/ LF
3. Vasquez C
4. Young OF

No way anyone takes on all of Hanley's contract, and if you want them to platoon they'll need a LH 1B, Reynolds is RH.

Sull, stop with the Hanley trades. Dombrowski is done making moves this off-season, and even if he wasn't, he isn't looking for anything new at first. Red Sox have enough depth in the outfield, so Barnes would be unnecessary.
Also, learn how to spell Pedroia.

Rockies have Reynolds they don't need an overpaid .250 hitter.

Reynalds is best when he is platooning with someone.

Reynolds has a platoon partner already. Ben Paulsen.

Hanly would be an upgrade over Paulson especially in a hitter friendly park.

Hanley is right-handed, so is Reynolds. They have no need for Hanley.
