if that was the case and they need a 2nd baseman. why not make it a 3 team trade. Gardner to brewers, segura to padres, and gyorko to yankees.

Even if he could play 2nd, Milwaukee will want a young, cheap piece they can build around. Gardner is neither young, nor cheap.
