LOL! Funny trade. Rays are trying to cut payroll not add to it. No need for Pence since we have Gomez as the old veteran with the low BA. Also the Rays who are depending on their bullpen a lot, will not give away a controllable arm for prospects.

No way are the Rays trading 2 for 2. They expect to get 2-3 players for Odorizzi alone. Also they never ever trade good young controllable pitchers like De Leon. They really like him.

for in division trades the price goes up, expect the Rays to squeeze 5-6 players in any deal for Colome and Archer if trading with division rivals.

From what I read Detroit wanted Happ and Baez for Farmer, so imagine what the Rays would ask for Archer while on the chase? Also Rays are closer (3.5) to first place in the east and have a WC spot than the Cubs are to Brewers (5.5 games )

Any Rays fan knows that the Rays would not give their controllable pitchers for a rental. Faria is 4-0 this season and Honeywell is killing AAA and will be up soon if Snell doesn't do good in the upcoming weeks.
