Tigers get:
Yoenis Cespedes
Red Sox get:
Anibal Sanchez
1.) I cannot see the Tigers doing this. They're likely losing Scherzer, and need Anibal.
2.) Detroit definitely wouldn't do that. Cespedes+ a decent prospect for Porcello could work though.
3.) No way would the Tigers do this. Get a player for one year and lose a vital piece of their rotation.
4.) 01 Dec 2014 16:09:22
Cespedes will not attract a front starter. At all. His value and his being a FA next year might get you a guy like Mike Leake out of Cincy or a guy like Jason Vargas. not Sanchez.
5.) The Red Sox would want more if they are going to Trade Cespedes

Tigers get:
Jay Bruce
Alex Blandino
Reds get:
Anibal Sanchez
1.) Reds already have too many SPs that they cannot afford, and are in search of an OF.
2.) Does the "JV" stand for junior varsity? This proposal is just plain dumb for both teams
3.) Reds wouldn't Trade Jay Bruce😂
Cuz they need him if they want to make playoffs
4.) Ha. Good one, Tarheel.

Tigers offseason:
Sign Bonifacio and Neshek
This would protect the bullpen and it would give them more speed and versatility.

Tigers:
Some experts believe that there is a high chance that the Tigers bring back Max Scherzer. In order for this to happen they would need to free up money somehow.
Proposed Trade:
David Price to the Dodgers for Corey Seager.
Move Castellanos to leftfield and have Seager move to third since Iglesias is at short.
This move would allow the Tigers to get a little bit younger and potentially protect themselves in the future.
If Seager can live up to expectations and if JD Martinez can continue to produce at a high level then their future lineup could have a rising star like Seager, Martinez, Castellanos, Iglesias, an elder Cabrera, and Gose if he can be a plus defender and steal 40 bases.
1.) Dumbest post I have seen in a while. Nick can not play left field. Seager is in single A ball and had a very rough time of it. Price is worth All Stars or two or three Top Prospects I mean top not oh he did well in fall league.
2.) Don't think the dodgers give up arguably the best prospect in that game for one year of price
3.) ^best prospect in the game is probably Kris Bryant.
4.) Actually Nick can play left field. But I agree Price is worth much more.

Tigers offseason to date:
Re-signed Victor Martinez to a 4 year 68 million dollar deal
Traded Devon Travis for Anthony Gose
Future moves:
1. Sign Edinson Volquez to a 2 year 12 million dollar deal
2. Sign Andrew Miller to a 4 year 32 million dollar deal
3. Sign Pat Neshek to a 2 year 8 million dollar deal
4. Sign Emilio Bonifacio to a 2 year 7 million dollar deal
5. Sign Jon Lester to a 6 year 144 million dollar deal
Start JD Martinez in right field and Gose/Davis/Bonifacio in centerfield and leftfield.
Extensions:
JD Marinez - 4 years 28 million
Rick Porcello - 5 years 55 million
Alex Avila - 2 years 10 million
Al Alburquerque - 2 years 6 million
Blockbuster trade:
Trade David Price, and Stephen Moya to the Cubs for Kris Bryant (eventually move Castellanos to the outfield) and Jorge Soler
Starting Rotation:
1. Sanchez
2. Verlander
3. Porcello
4. Volquez
5. Lester
Starting lineup:
1. Kinsler 2B
2. Davis CF
3. Cabrera 1B
4. Martinez DH
5. Martinez RF
6. Castellanos 3B
7. Avila C
8. Gose LF
9. Iglesias SS
Bench:
1. McCann
2. Bonifacio
3. Romine
4. Kelly
Bullpen:
1. Soria
2. Alburquerque
3. Miller
4. Nathan
5. Rondon
6. Krol
7. Neshek
All of this would put the Tigers payroll around 185-190 million (bump in payroll as expected)
1.) No way they have the money for lester
2.) I made a mistake JD Martinez should be in left and Soler should be in right, Gose/Davis on the bench and Romine in the minors.
3.) Trading Price would allow them to sign Lester
4.) This is hilarious. They won't sign Lester. I expect Porcello to explore the market next offseason. There is no way the Cubs would trade Bryant and Soler. They can simply just wait until next offseason to sign Price, that is what the Cubs would really do that.
5.) That trade proposal made me laugh because of the absurdity of it, but at the same time cry, at the fact, that someone thought that it was a plausible trade.
6.) Do you know the meaning of WAR? Alex A is not worth the option let alone an extension. The Cubs are not trading either of those two players. Price is not going anywhere until the trade deadline at the earliest, They will try to sign him to an extension. Detroit has not even talked to Lester. kelly is gone and will not make the roster and neither will Romine if you sign Bonifacio. They haven't talked to Volquez so far a one year wonder. The war on this team went down with your acquistions. So you want to trade for the cubs big boys yet you didn't put them in the lineup

Cardinals vs. Detroit
- 2015 World Series Champions is the Detroit Tigers
1.) Its spring training, you can't predict final standings yet. Also The Nationals are a ton better than the Cardinals and Tigers. Plus how is Boston going to win the East with what going to seem to be an inconsistent rotation.
2.) The ants are what is called OVERATTED
I am a Tigers fan and this trade is god awful. The Tigers give up nothing.
Trading Price would allow them to sign Lester
I made a mistake JD Martinez should be in left and Soler should be in right, Gose/Davis on the bench and Romine in the minors.
