The guy is still pre-arb eligible, and the quality of starting pitchers in free agency is pathetic.
The cost through the trade market will be ridiculously competitive and insanely high.

I agree, way to much for Gray. I also Believe that Gray is a quality starting pitcher but his price tag is low right now with the way he has been throwing and DL stints this year. If he can turn things around in the next few weeks they might get more. But even at that, that package it way to much for him.

His price tag won't be that low. He's controllable for the next 4 years. And you can bet he'll likely be back in the CyYoung conversation before long.
The A's will make out like bandits on a Gray trade.

@Natsfan333 - I think it's not entirely impossible for Atlanta to consider taking back a player like Buchholz if it means more and better prospects, though. I'm not going to pretend these other two players would be who the Braves want, but I'd have to think they'd at least consider this offer. It's a painful move for Boston, but to acquire a really good starter, and if they are even remotely interested in moving Buchholz out of Boston, this could do it, and at a cheaper prospect cost than shooting for Fernandez, or even Gray.
I'm not a Braves or Red Sox fan (nor do I dislike either team), and this doesn't seem too bad either way, really. If I'm the GM of either team, I can't immediately say "yes" or "no" to this one.

If somebody is not agree with you respect it because they can be.

I agree with thejerk and batman, those 2 are the most respected people on this site or at least they should be. They know what a good trade is and what its made up off, the way they handle trolls like sull and others is a lot better than most! Like if you put your name on it, it better be good or at least don't defend it when 5 other people are saying its bad.
