My realistic and hopeful Redsoxs offseason
Free Agent Signings:
David Price 6/200m
For the main reasons that I don't trust Hanley at first sign Chris Davis in case we need a 1st baseman 5 years not sure the amount
And hopefully another pitcher to add to the rotation
Lineup opening day :

I am a true Sox fan, but I am not jaded enough to believe we will pick up Chris Davis, Jose Fernandez and David Price this offseason.

We have no need for a first baseman we have shaw as a back up and yes I love the idea of price and defiantly not Fernandez or at least not for that price and no need for davis again since we have Bradly Betts and Castillo as our starters across the outfield.

^^^You want Fernandez because he hits bombs. he'd be moving to the AL, so it's a moot point.

I really like him, he is young and will have a place on the team for sure after Ortiz retires so I think they just keep him and not waist money on davis.

Sox got to have pitching. If they can get rid of HanRam or Panda, that would be super, but they have to bring in at least one strong SP.

The only realistic part about this is the Price signing. Other than that I can't see Davis going there. And there is no way the Marlins would take that trade for Fernandez right now. GotBeard, how will Fernandez hit bombs while playing in the AL since he is a pitcher.

Fair enough , question to all of you since DP is getting older and is injury prone in Boston a tad, even tho he is always great for us , do u think there is any chance they move him in the next couple of years to pick up prospects or maybe a huge blockbuster involving him?

I love this as a huge soxs fan but even tho this would be great for our rotation as we get our young ace to bolster the rotation for years and years to come but we lose our #1 and #2 prospects and a great pitcher with huge upside

By giving up Hanley gives us some money room to sign Chris Davis, Hanley will also filing the Marlins need for another bat in the lineup to protect Stanton and Gordon let me know what you guys think but this is just my pure opinion I could be totally wrong on what we need tho!

I agree with most of those although I am a huge redsoxs fan I feel like greinke is a bit of a head case and I know he's a great pitcher but I find he would be another papelbon problem for the redsoxs , I could honestly see Hedward playing right field for the redsoxs if we somehow deal and outfielder for a starting pitcher or middle reliever , let me know your thoughts!
