1.) I doubt this happens. Why would Hamels and Utley waive their no trade clauses to goto another losing team. It doesn't make sense. And don't say all they need is those 2, because they need a lot more. Secondly why would Philly want Profar who is missing his second straight year with a shoulder injury.

I don't think Sean O'Sullivan for Jurickson Profar is a good trade for the Phillies right now.
3.) Utley has a no-trade clause that he apparently intends to honor, and Hamels is not going to be interested in going from one dog team to another.

LBF: Texas is actually one of the 9 teams Hamels can be traded to without his permission.
That being said, IF Texas were to make a deal. Jake Thompson and Jorge Alfaro would likely have to be included.
5.) This is a payroll shed by the Phils. Texas would be getting a few guys to help immediately. I think its a good one for both teams.
@ Natedub. Maybe switching it up and putting in those two would work as well.

I just don't see the Phillies, or anyone for that matter, trading anything for Profar for a couple of years.

3.) Really that's all you want?!? Sox would take that deal in a heartbeat!
4.) Based on payroll, talent, and other factors, this is not as lop-sided as you think. Check stats, guys.
5.) Throw in Bogarts or a top prospect and you'd probably have a deal. Phillies are looking to shed the old players with big money (i.e Hamels, Howard, Lee, Utley, Rollins who is already gone). If they could shed that $150M of payroll, they definitely would.
6.) If the Phils were willing to accept a package that lame, they could have traded Hamels months ago.

I'd imagine that, if the Phillies are going to trade Hamels, it's to bring in prospects and to clear salary.
The Dodgers give them one marquee prospect and a stupid contract added to the deal.
Two of a team's marquee prospects is likely going to be all that works.
5.) That is a poor proposal. Those four Dodgers wouldn't be a decent return for Hamels alone. Stop.

Mariners are in need of a power hitting 1st baseman / DH.
1.) They want a RHed bat. Their lineup is already LH heavy.
2.) More of Howard's salary has to be apart of any trade.

As a Phils fan I would like any of these except Utley. We do not want to lose him. The player we want dumped is Howard though.
At first glance this is great for the Phils but I think the Dodgers aren't getting enough in return. Plus the Cubs are only giving up one player, Edwards, for Hamels? The Cubs need to add something going to LA.
